Blunt knives and a million other things can be responsible for "driving us mental" in day to day life, so looking after our mental health is something we should all be thinking about, just as much as looking after our knives ....
Join Gaz (Community Cutlery) & Chance (Psychotherapist) for a hands-on, knife-sharpening workshop with a twist.
While learning the craft of knife sharpening, we'll also be exploring how to keep your mind sharp. Open to all, this session offers a space to connect, reflect creatively, and have a natter with like-minded others. Just as a sharp knife makes a world of difference in the kitchen, so too does a sharp noggin in our daily lives. Join us for a proper sound experience that blends practical skill with psychotherapy.
We'll meet at Community Cutlery - (31 Leeds Road, Ilkley) from 1300 and the event will run to around 1630.
You'll need come equipped with your own blunt kitchen knives (4 or 5) and an open mind.
There's absolutely loads of time to teach you everything you need to know about sharpening whilst stopping to chat about all things mental health as often as you feel like it.
What is included?
Instruction and guidance on knife sharpening and mental health matters throughout the session.
A stropping paddle to maintain your freshly sharpened knives at home (rrp £18).
Mobile optimised guide on the basics of sharpening theory.

All profits from Sharper Knives Sharper Noggins will be donated to mental health charity, We Are Hummingbird, give them a look when you've got a sec.
This event is open to everyone, If you'd like to attend but feel it's beyond your means financially, please do get in touch, we'll sort it.

We ship Tuesday to Saturday using Royal Mail Tracked 24.
All knives ship via an age verified service in accordance with The Offensive Weapons Act 2019, which will mean the postie will need you to be in to receive the delivery & to check your ID if you look under 25.
The law also requires us to carry out a soft age check of the purchaser after checkout, this is done by an automated system that usually doesn't require your input, although we will need to contact you for proof of age if you fail, which can sometimes happen if you use a work address.
