Refund Policy
We offer a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days from receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible, your item must be in the same condition you received it — unused, with tags (if applicable), and in its original packaging. You’ll also need your receipt or proof of purchase.
To start a return, please contact us at communitycutleryshop@gmail.com.
If your return is accepted, we’ll send you clear instructions on how and where to send your parcel.
Please note — items sent back without requesting a return first will not be accepted.

Damages & Issues
Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives and contact us straight away if your item is damaged, defective, or incorrect, so we can make it right as quickly as possible.

Exceptions & Non-Returnable Items
Certain types of products cannot be returned, including:

Carbon Steel Products
Please note — the appearance of patina on carbon steel knives or cookware is normal and expected.
Patina is a natural darkening that forms with use and helps protect the steel.
The appearance of rust, however, is a sign of incorrect care and not a manufacturing fault.
Products will not be refunded on these grounds.
Japanese knives perform so well partly because they are ground very thin behind the cutting edge.
This also makes them more vulnerable to chipping.
Sometimes this happens through misuse (for example, chopping bone or opening a tin), or it could be as simple as a small piece of grit on the chopping board.
Either way, it has occurred through use — it doesn’t “just happen”.
If this has happened to you, please don’t be frustrated — get in touch.
We’ll likely be able to sort it out.
If you’ve accidentally damaged your carbon steel product through misuse, we may still be able to help restore it.

Sale Items & Gift Cards
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Exchanges
The quickest way to get what you want is to return your original item and place a new order once the return has been accepted.

Refunds
We’ll notify you as soon as we’ve received and inspected your return, and confirm whether your refund has been approved.
If approved, it will be processed to your original payment method.
Please note that it can take a few working days for your bank or card provider to finalise the refund.
