International Shipping
EU AND US INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING ON HOLD AT PRESENT - SORRY!
International Shipping
We currently ship selected products internationally using Royal Mail and other tracked services where available.
International shipping options and prices are shown at checkout once you enter your delivery country and address. If no shipping option appears, it may mean we do not currently ship that product to your location, or that the parcel is outside the available size, weight, or service limits.
Please note that some products, including knives and other age-restricted items, may not be available for delivery to every country.
Customs, Duties, Taxes and Local Charges
International orders may be subject to customs checks, import VAT, customs duty, postal handling fees, administration fees, brokerage charges, and other local parcel charges when they arrive in the destination country.
Unless clearly stated otherwise at checkout, these charges are not included in the price you pay to Community Cutlery and are the responsibility of the recipient.
These charges are set by the destination country, customs authority, postal operator, or courier, and we cannot control or predict the exact amount. They may need to be paid before the parcel is released for delivery.
This includes, but is not limited to, country-specific parcel charges or customs administration fees that may apply to low-value parcels entering the EU or other destinations.
European Union Orders
Orders sent to EU countries are usually sent on a Delivered Duties Unpaid basis. This means the price you pay to us does not normally include local import VAT, customs duty, postal handling fees, administration fees, or local parcel charges.
These costs may be charged by the local postal operator or courier before delivery.
If these charges are not paid, the parcel may be delayed, returned to us, or in some cases treated as abandoned by the local carrier or customs authority.
United States Orders
Orders to the United States may be handled differently because Royal Mail requires certain USA services to be sent using a duties-paid or postal duties-paid process.
Where this applies, any required duties-paid handling will be dealt with through the shipping process rather than as a standard unpaid customs charge on arrival.
If any additional local charges, taxes, customs queries, or delivery administration fees are applied by US authorities or carriers, these remain the responsibility of the recipient unless we have clearly stated otherwise at checkout.
Customs Information and Product Descriptions
We are required to provide customs information for international parcels, including product descriptions, parcel values, country of origin details, and commodity or HS codes where applicable.
We will describe the contents accurately and declare the correct order value. We cannot mark orders as gifts, reduce the declared value, or alter customs information to avoid import charges.
Customs Delays
International parcels can sometimes be delayed by customs checks, local postal processing, or unpaid import charges. These delays are outside our control.
If your tracking shows that a parcel is being held by customs or awaiting payment, you may need to contact the local postal operator or courier in your country.
We are happy to help where we can, but we cannot speed up local customs clearance once a parcel has left the UK.
Refused, Unpaid or Returned Parcels
If an international order is refused, import charges are not paid, or the parcel is returned to us because delivery could not be completed, we will contact you once the parcel has been received back.
Any refund will normally be for the returned goods only. Original shipping costs, return shipping costs, customs charges, carrier fees, and any other costs incurred may be deducted from the refund.
If a parcel is abandoned, destroyed, or not returned to us by the carrier or customs authority, we may not be able to issue a refund.
Returns from Outside the UK
International customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is faulty or we have made an error with the order.
Returned items must be unused, safely packaged, and clearly marked as returned goods. Any customs charges, import VAT, duties, or handling fees caused by an incorrectly declared return may be deducted from the refund.
Please contact us before sending an international return so we can advise on the correct return process.
