Hado

Hado represents a refined expression of Sakai knife-making — clean grinds, thoughtful finishes, and careful collaboration with some of the region’s most respected blacksmiths, including the Tanaka family. During our visit to Sakai in 2026, we were fortunate to see our own Kirisame batch in production at the Hado workshop — blades fresh from the forge, being expertly ground and sharpened by their craftsmen. That level of attention to detail runs through everything they do, resulting in knives that are beautifully finished, precisely made, and presented with equal care in their packaging.
