Made from an all stainless San Mai (3 layered construction), comprising of a V10 core for edge retention & durability and clad on either side with a softer stainless to make for a more robust cutting tool.
The Tsuchime range are the ideal choice for those looking for the aesthetic and profile of a Japanese blade but the ease of care and handling of a stainless, western handled knife.
In addition to providing aesthetic appeal the Tsuchime or hammered Damascus cladding also provides greatly improved food release, particularly useful when slicing vegetables.
The petty is a knife hovers around the size of something equivalent to a western paring/ utility knife. Essentially it’s a nice, nimble, small knife which is an invaluable addition to anyones knife roll, truly versatile and more than capable of taking on detailed tasks whilst also up to peeling, finely slicing garlic and even tackling smaller fruit and veg. Along with a chef knife they’re the most useful knife in the kitchen.

We ship Tuesday to Saturday using Royal Mail Tracked 24.
All knives ship via an age verified service in accordance with The Offensive Weapons Act 2019, which will mean the postie will need you to be in to receive the delivery & to check your ID if you look under 25.
The law also requires us to carry out a soft age check of the purchaser after checkout, this is done by an automated system that usually doesn't require your input, although we will need to contact you for proof of age if you fail, which can sometimes happen if you use a work address.
