Founded in 1926, the company works closely with some of the region’s most skilled blacksmiths, sharpeners and handle makers to produce a wide range of high-quality kitchen knives.
Sakai’s knife industry is built on a traditional system where different specialists focus on individual stages of production. A blacksmith forges the blade, a sharpener grinds and finishes the edge geometry, and a handle maker completes the knife. This collaborative approach allows each craftsperson to concentrate on their particular expertise, resulting in knives with exceptional fit, finish and cutting performance.
