Eren Armitage – Shoreline Mug
––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––
Handmade in Harrogate by the wonderful Eren using stoneware clay, these stunning mugs are glazed to perfection. Always inspired by nature, these beauties depict a shoreline meeting the sand, with subtle layers of colour creating a gentle, organic gradient.
Perfect for your brews or soups — and with each piece totally unique — they’re the kind of mug you reach for every day.

We run a pretty tight ship when it comes to ceramics at Community Cutlery. Only working with one or two artists at a time allows us to build proper relationships with the makers we stock and really invest ourselves in their work. It can make life a little tricky when there are so many wonderful ceramicists out there — but from the moment we saw Eren’s work, we were all in. We adore her style and the qualities of her pieces; they’re fine yet robust and a joy to use.

About the Maker
A ceramicist from Yokohama, Japan, Eren works with stoneware in her hometown Harrogate.
Inspired by the surrounding nature of the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors, Eren's wheel-thrown, hand-carved tablewares and vessels intertwine her Japanese heritage with the English countryside — designed to reconnect with nature in everyday life.
