Based in the spa town of Ilkey, West Yorkshire we mainly offer our sharpening services by way of personal drop offs. So if you're in the area and would like your knives/scissors/garden tools sharpening then pop in during our opening hours, leaving them with us and we'll send you a text once it's done.
We sharpen every week on Thursday and Friday and almost always have everything ready for collection the same week it was dropped off.
Whilst we generally don't offer a while you wait service, If you are making a special trip from out of town we will endeavour to get them sharpened whilst you check out the sights of Ilkley, but please give us a call beforehand to chat about timings.
Customers from further afield are welcome to post items to us by prior arrangement.
We’re enthusiastic about sharpening at Community Cutlery, if you’ve got a knife that you’re using day in day out for preparing food, it definitely needs sharpening, whether it’s by us or not it, it really does make cooking quicker, easier, safer and more enjoyable and we cannot recommend enough, give it a go and see for yourself!
Knives are the items we sharpen most of but the same principle applies to scissors, secateurs, hatchets, machetes, loppers, shears, chisels and any number of other carpentry and woodworking tools, if your going to use them then why not keep them sharp?
