Knife Sharpening Class — London (The Dusty Knuckle, Dalston)
–––

We're coming out for A One-Off London Workshop on Friday 19th June!
We’ll be bringing our sharpening class to London for a single session at The Dusty Knuckle in Dalston. This is a one-off event with just 10 places available, allowing plenty of time for individual guidance and support throughout.

–––

Learn to Sharpen Your Knives Properly
This is a hands-on introduction to freehand whetstone sharpening, a 2 hour lesson designed to give you the confidence and understanding to sharpen your own knives at home. This is the exact same format as our Ilkley workshops — practical, straightforward, and focused on building a repeatable method.

–––
What You’ll Learn
We’ll cover the core principles of sharpening  with no jargon so you can take out the guesswork going forward. By the end of the session, you’ll understand:
• The essential theory behind knife sharpening
• The different types of whetstone and how to use them effectively
• The key to getting your knives sharp every time
• How apply everything you've learned with proper technique
• How to maintain your knives between sharpenings

–––
Hands-On, Start to Finish
This is a fully practical class. You’ll work on your own knives throughout the session, with guidance at every stage to help you build confidence and consistency.

–––
What to Bring
Please bring up to 3–4 knives to sharpen. These should be stright edge kitchen knives only — no serrated blades or scissors AND PLEASE MAKE SURE THEY'RE WELL WRAPPED AND BAGGED FOR TRANSPORT!

–––
What’s Included
• Use of all sharpening equipment on the day
• Step-by-step guidance throughout and a pdf guide for reference
• A stropping paddle to take home (RRP £18)

All knives ship via an age verified service in accordance with The Offensive Weapons Act 2019, which will mean the postie will need you to be in to receive the delivery & to check your ID if you look under 25.

The law also requires us to carry out a soft age check of the purchaser after checkout, this is done by an automated system that usually doesn't require your input, although we will need to contact you for proof of age if you fail, which can sometimes happen if you use a work address.
