#3 Small Slicer – Chinese Vegetable Cleaver
The CCK #3 small slicer is a thin, light, and highly manoeuvrable knife designed for speed and precision. Unlike heavier choppers, it’s built for clean slicing of vegetables, herbs, boneless meats, and fish. At around 210mm, it offers excellent board coverage while remaining quick and easy to control — a true all-round prep tool in a compact, efficient format.


Thin Ground & Lightweight Feel
This is where CCK slicers excel. The blade is ground very thin, allowing it to glide through ingredients with minimal resistance. The low weight reduces fatigue during long prep sessions, while the tall blade makes it easy to scoop and transfer ingredients from board to pan. It’s best thought of as a different-shaped chef’s knife rather than a heavy cleaver — not suitable for bones or butchery tasks.

Carbon Steel
Made from simple carbon steel, the #3 slicer takes a very fine, aggressive edge and is easy to sharpen. It offers excellent cutting feel and responsiveness, making it particularly well-suited to fast, high-volume prep.


Carbon Steel Care
As a carbon steel blade, it will develop a natural patina and can rust if left wet. Wipe dry during and after use, especially when working with acidic ingredients. Don’t leave it soaking or put it in the dishwasher.


Handle – Traditional Barrel Handle
Fitted with a simple wooden barrel-style handle, designed for comfort and practicality. It will benefit from occasional oiling or waxing, and can be lightly sanded if it picks up stains over time.
