Warikomi Construction – Sharp, Strong, Reliable
Forged using the warikomi method, the head begins as soft steel heated and split to accept a high-carbon steel core. Once united and forged into shape, you get a hatchet with a razor-sharp cutting edge and softer cladding to absorb shock — ideal for fine carving work without sacrificing strength.

Seven Mountain Gods
Each head is decorated with seven gouges — four on one side, three on the other — representing the Mountain Gods. The eighth is intentionally omitted to keep bad luck at bay.

Scorched Japanese White Oak Handle
Shaped from Japanese white oak and finished with a traditional scorch. The process seals and protects the wood, adds grip, and gives each handle a rich, timeless character.

All knives ship via an age verified service in accordance with The Offensive Weapons Act 2019, which will mean the postie will need you to be in to receive the delivery & to check your ID if you look under 25.
