Opinel No.114 Vegetable Knife – Red
Included with every knife
Free access to our online knife sharpening course.
A small, clever vegetable knife from Opinel, designed for peeling, trimming and precise preparation of fruit and vegetables.
The No.114 has a distinctive 7cm curved, pointed blade – often known as a bird’s beak – which makes it particularly useful for peeling, shaping and working around smaller ingredients. The back of the blade also features a scraper for gently cleaning vegetables.
Blade & Handle
The blade is made from Opinel’s martensitic stainless steel, hardened to 55–57 HRC and chosen for its combination of corrosion resistance, durability and ease of maintenance.
The red handle is made from PEFC-certified hornbeam and lacquered to help protect the wood against moisture and dirt. The bright red finish is part of Opinel’s Paysage colour range.
Made in France, this is a simple, inexpensive little kitchen knife that’s particularly handy for detailed vegetable prep.
Care
The stainless steel blade is relatively low maintenance. Hand wash after use and dry thoroughly before storing to keep both the blade and wooden handle in good condition.
