Made from cast iron with an Acacia wood handle this mortar has a curved interior and a textured surface to make light work of sprice grinding.
Before use
Cure the mortar with ½ tsp of rice. Then empty it, scrub it with soapy water and dry it fully.
Usage
This mortar is for dry spices only. Make sure only to use the mortar with dry spices in and avoid grinding metal against metal.
Maintenance
Keep it away from moisture and steam.
Store in a dry area and keep it out of direct sunlight.
If used for salt, clean thoroughly after usage to avoid rust.
The mortar can be rubbed with some cooking oil after cleaning.
