The JIU Soup Pan takes the same beautifully considered approach as the JIU Frying Pan and applies it to a deeper, incredibly useful everyday pan. Designed to move easily from cooking to serving and storage, every part of it has been considered with everyday use in mind.
Made in Osaka from enamelled steel, the deep body is ideal for soups, broths and sauces, as well as boiling, simmering and reheating. The clean, minimal shape also means it looks completely at home brought straight to the table rather than hidden away in the kitchen.
The removable natural wood handle (sold separately) is what really makes the JIU system work. It clicks neatly on when you need it, then comes off for serving, oven use or compact storage in a cupboard or refrigerator. Better still, the same handle can be shared with the JIU Frying Pan, so you only need one handle across the range. The lid has also been designed with storage in mind, stacking neatly with the pan to keep everything compact when it’s not being used.
It’s a wonderfully neat solution, particularly where kitchen space is limited — beautifully made cookware that has been designed to be cooked with, eaten from, stored easily and enjoyed every time you use it.
It is recommended to remove handles when not in use during cooking.

About Fujita Kinzoku
Fujita Kinzoku is a family-run metalworking company based in Yao, Osaka, producing cookware and household goods since 1951. Now in its fourth generation, the company combines decades of metalworking experience with modern manufacturing, carrying out much of its production within its own small factory.
Best known for its iron cookware, Fujita Kinzoku focuses on practical, well-designed tools made for everyday use. Their approach brings together traditional manufacturing skills, thoughtful design and a willingness to rethink familiar kitchen equipment — creating cookware that is simple, functional and made to be used for years.
Whilst on a trip to Japan in winter 2026, we had the opportunity to visit the Fujita Kinzoku factory and see first-hand how their cookware is made. The operation really impressed us — spotlessly clean, beautifully organised and still using some of the same machinery that has been at the heart of their production for decades. It was a real treat to see these wonderful pans being made and to better understand the people, processes and craftsmanship behind them.
