Kanbunsaku Hatchet – Compact Forged Utility
A traditional Japanese hatchet designed for precise, controlled cutting. Compact yet capable, it’s suited to light splitting, kindling preparation, and general workshop or outdoor use. At 165mm, it offers excellent manoeuvrability while retaining enough weight for effective chopping.

Forged Steel Construction – Strength & Edge Retention
Hand-forged from high-quality carbon steel, this hatchet is built for durability and long-term performance. It takes a keen edge and holds it well, making it a dependable tool for repeated, practical use.

Takara Chokyū – Traditional Japanese Toolmaking
Takara Chokyū produces straightforward, functional tools rooted in Japanese blacksmithing traditions. Focused on reliability and honest performance, their tools are made to be used — not just admired.

Kanbunsaku Steel
Kanbunsaku refers to a traditional style of forging and steel selection aimed at balancing hardness and toughness. The result is a blade that can take a sharp edge while remaining resilient enough for impact work.

Carbon Steel Care
As a carbon steel tool, the blade can develop a patina and will rust if left wet. Wipe dry after use and apply a light coat of oil if storing for extended periods. Occasional sharpening will keep it performing at its best.

Handle – Natural Wood
Fitted with a simple wooden handle, shaped for a secure and comfortable grip. The natural material provides good shock absorption and a traditional feel in hand.
