Designed by chef Bruce Hill, Chef's Press cooking weights improve contact between food and the cooking surface, helping food cook more evenly while encouraging better browning. Unlike traditional solid presses, the open design allows steam to escape rather than becoming trapped beneath the weight.
Each press is made from stainless steel and can be used individually, stacked for additional weight or staggered across larger pieces of food. They're equally useful on the hob, grill or barbecue, and can also be used when marinating or for keeping food submerged during sous vide cooking.
The 13oz Chef's Press offers additional weight while maintaining the same compact footprint as the 8oz version. It's well suited to burgers, duck breast and thicker cuts of meat, while remaining versatile enough for everyday cooking.
Like every Chef's Press, it can be stacked with other presses to increase weight or staggered across larger ingredients for more even pressure.

All knives ship via an age verified service in accordance with The Offensive Weapons Act 2019, which will mean the postie will need you to be in to receive the delivery & to check your ID if you look under 25.
The law also requires us to carry out a soft age check of the purchaser after checkout, this is done by an automated system that usually doesn't require your input, although we will need to contact you for proof of age if you fail, which can sometimes happen if you use a work address.
