Yu Kurosaki Gekko Gyuto 210mm

–––

Gyuto – The Japanese Chef’s Knife
The gyuto is the Japanese answer to the Western chef’s knife, designed as a true multipurpose blade. With a gently curved belly and pointed tip, it’s suitable for slicing, chopping, and rocking through a wide variety of ingredients. Lightweight and thin compared to European styles, the gyuto combines speed, sharpness, and control — a favourite for both professionals and home cooks.

–––

Nashiji – “Pear-Skin” Texture
Nashiji refers to the lightly textured, mottled finish resembling the skin of a pear. It helps reduce food sticking during prep while giving the blade a subtle, organic character.

–––

Yu Kurosaki
Yu Kurosaki is one of Japan’s most celebrated young blacksmiths, known for blending traditional forging with bold, modern design. Working from Echizen in Fukui Prefecture, he handcrafts knives that are admired for their cutting performance, edge retention and striking aesthetics. His signature finishes — such as Shizuku (raindrop) and Fujin (wind god) — have earned him worldwide recognition among chefs, home cooks and collectors.

–––

VGXEOS
An advanced stainless steel engineered for high wear resistance, excellent edge retention and long-term durability — a superb choice for a hardworking kitchen knife.

–––

Steel Care
• Hand wash only — never use a dishwasher
• Dry thoroughly after use
• Use wooden or soft plastic cutting boards
• Store safely: knife block, magnetic rack or saya
• Sharpen with whetstones for the best long-term results
• Stainless steels resist patina, but minor discolouration can occur with use
