Yu Kurosaki Gekko K-Tip Gyuto Knife 240mm

Introduction

The Yu Kurosaki Gekko K-Tip Gyuto 240mm combines one of Japan's most respected contemporary blacksmiths with VG XEOS stainless steel and a Nashiji finish. Its longer blade offers excellent versatility for everyday preparation, while the K-tip provides added precision for finer work.

K-Tip Gyuto

The K-tip gyuto combines the versatility of a traditional gyuto with the precision of a kiritsuke-style tip. Designed as a true multipurpose kitchen knife, it excels at slicing, chopping and general preparation, while the finely pointed tip offers greater control for detailed work. It is an excellent choice for those looking for the versatility of a gyuto with added precision.

Nashiji

Nashiji translates to "pear skin," describing the softly textured, matte finish across the blade. This subtle texture helps reduce food sticking during preparation while giving the knife a distinctive, handcrafted appearance.

Maker

Yu Kurosaki is one of Japan's most highly regarded contemporary blacksmiths. Based in Echizen, Fukui Prefecture, he is known for combining exceptional forging with distinctive blade finishes, producing knives that balance outstanding cutting performance with striking visual design.

Steel

VG XEOS is a modern stainless steel that offers an excellent balance of edge retention, toughness and corrosion resistance. It takes a fine edge, is easy to maintain, and is well suited to everyday kitchen use.

Age Verification

Age is verified at checkout where required, and again by the courier on delivery where applicable. Someone over the age of 18 must be available to receive the parcel.

We ship Tuesday to Saturday using Royal Mail Tracked 24.

All knives ship via an age verified service in accordance with The Offensive Weapons Act 2019, which will mean the postie will need you to be in to receive the delivery & to check your ID if you look under 25.

The law also requires us to carry out a soft age check of the purchaser after checkout, this is done by an automated system that usually doesn't require your input, although we will need to contact you for proof of age if you fail, which can sometimes happen if you use a work address.
